Karen Kruse’s lights symbolize hope for all cancer warriors. We close our Stories of Strength series honoring Karen, Shari, Carol, and Tisa.

And in a beautiful turn of fate, when Tisa was first diagnosed, she stopped by Karen’s house — not knowing how much that moment would shape her future. Karen shared her story of purpose and passion, and it ignited something powerful in Tisa. Their connection came full circle years later, both women continuing their shared mission to bring awareness, trust, and hope to women everywhere.

When photographer Carol Davis from Clements, Maryland heard the words ‘You don’t really have breast cancer… but you do,’ her world shifted. Her story is one of courage, gratitude, and the powerful reminder to never delay your own care.
